Britt's Bio

Hello everyone! My name is Brittany and I am one of the members in the Creating Community group. I am 23 and I graduated from The College of New Jersey in May 2009 with a BA in English and Secondary Education.

Currently, I work for The Bonner Center for Civic and Community Engagement at The College of New Jersey where I coordinate the Bonner Community Scholars program (76 college students who are doing 300 hours of community service per academic year in return for a scholarship based on economic need) and manage the Education Team that is co-running an after school program in Trenton, NJ.

I have always wanted to be a teacher and love to work with kids. Middle school kids are my favorite to work with, but I like all ages!

I am so excited to be a part of such a dynamic team of people who have the opportunity to go into schools and work with students on all different issues that will help them create a great school community. I know how important it is to have a good school community and that is the goal of our group. We are a group of college students and current graduates who have a passion for the community service work we have been doing for years.

If you have any questions about me or the group feel free to ask!
